Ramón Naranjo Tackman, MD Mexico City, MX Dr. Naranjo Tackman is the Director of Corneal and Refractive Surgery, at the National University of Mexico; and Professor of Ophthalmology, at the Panamerican University School of Medicine, Mexico City. Dr. Naranjo Tackman has worked extensively in the area of corneal and external diseases, and refractive cataract surgery; delivering key lectures at scientific congresses around the world on related techniques and technologies. He is a member of several international associations, including the Mexican and American Academies of Ophthalmology, and is a recipient of the prestigious Kritzinger lecture Award. The author of numerous articles and academic chapters in ophthalmic surgery, Dr. Naranjo Tackman was one of the first surgeon-scientists to explore excimer technology as applied to refractive surgery. For the past five years, Dr. Naranjo Tackman has been actively involved as a clinical investigator in several research projects, including the application of femtosecond lasers to restore the natural flexibility of the lens in presbyopes. |
